Founders Intro:
If mother nature could talk, she would probably roast the crypto bros first. Especially the ones who talk about decentralization in web3 as if it were a man made concept.
Earth to crypto bros: nature *is* the most decentralized system.
Look no further than our own internal bacterial network. Within our own bodies, trillions of microbes reside within our digestive system, known as the gut microbiota. This bacterial network operates in a decentralized manner as the bacteria communicate to determine our metabolism, immune response, and even our mental health. Our bacterial network works cohesively and collectively to ensure our bodies stay regulated.
Then there’s the mycelium network: every forest floor consists of this decentralized network made of tiny fungal threads called hyphae. The mycelium network facilitates the exchange of nutrients, information, and resources among trees, plants, and fungi. This decentralized system ensures the survival and vitality of the entire forest ecosystem, as it enables communication, mutual support, and collaboration across species. Call it the Wood Wide Web.
So when we talk about decentralization of current systems: finance, art, technology, the internet-- it isn’t a radical notion when we look towards nature. Decentralization is fundamental to the web3 transition.
And, yes, the blockchain technology is decentralized but the web3 space itself is still very much so centralized. The money is centralized to a small percentage of “whales” and it’s still the same demographic that are benefitting from the transition.
Enter STEWARD, we believe in the decentralization movement, and we also believe that we must infiltrate from within to decentralize this space from a wealth distribution and inclusivity POV.
See? Web3 isn’t so daunting when nature acts as our muse. Thanks for being on this journey with us.

What’s going on in Climate 3.0?
The Ethereum Community Conference is coming up in Paris July 17-20, and we love seeing the impactful Celo ecosystem projects being featured at Funding the Commons the day before.
Mento Labs, a stablecoin and digital asset innovation lab, has launched in partnership with cLabs.
Countdown to our first San Francisco event this Sunday, July 16th, as we connect to our local ocean ecosystem with a soundbath and yoga flow by the bay. Join the waitlist to be notified if spots open up!
