Founders intro:
Hi Stewards,
We hosted a dinner in London this week at the Treehouse Hotel. Can you guess what ecosystem London is in (hint: 🌲🌲🌲)?
There was an interesting turn in a friendly debate as we started discussing the emotional need for a blockchain. Ultimately, we decided that there is no collective trust on a large scale between governments, corporations or different entities and the blockchain acts as this immutable, transparent trust system that isn’t biased or cherry-picked.
Which leads us back to, why even have donations on the blockchain? Why not just donate via web2?
Donating through the blockchain combats one-off donations most climate and environmental organizations receive. And with one STEWARD, you have a diversified climate solutions portfolio at your fingertips. We have diversified investments and stock portfolios, why wouldn’t we for this intersectional cause we care most about?
A few more reasons why donations on the blockchain are more powerful:
-fund climate solutions in each ecosystem with just one purchase
-digital contracts that ensure every dollar is distributed accordingly to both the non profits and artists
-building a consistent flow of donations for on-the-ground climate solutions vs. reactive, allowing for more resiliency when climate disasters strike
