We have been working on STEWARD for the past 1.5 years (since November 2021!). And let’s just say that the market conditions look very different than when we first started. But we’re so excited about the purpose & vision of this project that we’ve been quietly building through the highs and lows, knowing that a concept like this needs to exist.
As part of our countdown to mint day, we’re taking a hot second to recap the WHY behind STEWARD– why we started this project and why folks should join Steward’s climate x web3 community.
Week by week, we’ll go through some of the main reasons you should become a Steward.
This week’s spotlight: the artwork
The first thing to know about the STEWARD community is the digital artwork. Owning a piece from the collection is your all-access pass to the climate 3.0 (climate x web3, get it?) community, special events, limited edition swag, and more!
We’ve developed and curated 1,536 pieces of artwork that say something about the world we live in, and that changes and adapts as nature does.
By owning a piece from the STEWARD collection, you’ll have a piece of art that is:
Reflective of our natural world. Each piece of art belongs to one of the 8 major natural ecosystems of the world and features a hero plant and animals native to each biosphere.
Truly unique. Each artwork is tagged to a unique geo-location. So even if you and a friend owned a Tundra piece, your two artworks would tie to distinct places, impacting how your artwork will develop over time.
Dynamic. The artwork follows the pattern of nature– each hero plant will grow and evolve as the seasons do, while the landscape will reflect weather patterns. Based on each piece’s unique geolocation, if it’s raining at that spot, you’ll see rain in your artwork just a few hours later.
Supporting emerging artists. We’ve curated eight incredible, next-gen artists from around the world to pull this collection together. Every time a piece of STEWARD art is traded or sold, these artists receive a portion of the royalties. This is a chance to own and champion artwork by some of the most exciting movers & shakers of the art world.
Different in rarity. To celebrate biodiversity, each artwork features animals native to that ecosystem. The more animals in the artwork, the rarer that piece is. Mint multiple seeds to maximize your chance of collecting one of the rarer pieces.
